Though I really wasn't much of a fan of the toads in this version, I loved playing the game. I can't believe this came out when I was 9 years old. I can't explain it well, but the style has a certain childlike aspect to it that is enoyable to not only children, but grown adults as well. The personalities of the Koopalings were executed nicely as well, making for an interesting little journey to defeat them.
Where would we be without this game? This truly is what made Mario, well, Mario. Even at the games age, it's still something you can play for a burst of nostalgia and throwback enjoyment. .
